Life proves all things, unbiased and indifferent in its presentation. No one is above exemption. Life has has taught me that I am truly unworthy of love and hospitality, of basic human contact. Why? Because every atom of my being is insufficient. But, as I calmy accept this modicum of truth. I discover something desperate, an instinct predicated solely on survival: I refuse to be unloved. If you won't love me naturally then I will manipulate you into doing it. I will entice your emotions, tickle your ego and soothe your conscience with charms and persuasion until you let me in and I'm playing you like an instrument. I would know you better than you know yourself. So mark these words my beloved, "You'll love me. You all will."
