I am fascinated with Dwarf Fortress

Imagine spending over a decade of your life developing a game, with a dedicated community, and never getting tired of it. This is the most complex game ever developed, even though it has no fancy graphics, animations, etc. it requires a good CPU to process all the simulation that happens in the game. You can generate a world, have a trillion variables interacting with each other, and all sorts of insane stories happening.

But what I like about it the most is the dedication of the creators... I wish I could dedicate myself to something like they do, just enjoy the process, take it easy, one day at a time, etc. Man I know I could make some amazing stuff (although I don't know if I would ever be recognized by it)

Yeah I couldn't get into it either, but its more about the relentless effort and passion of the creator. I always have to drag myself to finish my projects and when I finally do it I don't feel any satisfaction at all.
