And I only had two reasons why
1. School always seemed to paint them as victims with unreasonable, random, totally unfounded intangible hatred. They never explained why they were hated at all. Not even any mention of the stereotypes. Hell, not even a mention that they even had stereotypes. “They were just scapegoats brah.” I was smart enough to know humans don’t just act racist & genocidal out of randomness, so I knew they were hiding something and people will eventually end up finding out why they were hated on their own. And because there is no pushback when digesting the new information, it’s easier to accept the unchallenged ideas.
2. They never intermingled with us. In the US at least, they just stick to their own communities, shops, schools, school buses, hospitals, food markets, ambulances, and makes sure everyone knows they’re an “other” with their unique clothing & hairstyles/headgear. Isolation is dangerous, as us disciples of human nature know this. It’s easy for any potential uncontested resentful feelings & misinformation to fester if there’s never free & open communication. It’s becomes much easier to believe the first thing you hear about them.
I’m lying when I say kid because as an actual kid, I used to believe in a wishful thinking bluepilled world. I mean teen
