I actually like Goten as a character

The idea of a Goku lookalike who inherits Goku's devil may care attitude, combined with seemingly more potential than Gohan is somehow hilarious to me.

Imagine if he did the SSG ritual at his age and trained from there.

The kid would be unstoppable.

Too bad he never gets any character development because the powers that be are terrified of losing audience attention if they do anything other than muh Goku and Vegeta. I always thought they should've killed Goku off permanently and focused the story on Gohan and then went through the entire family lineage similar to JoJo.

Dragon Ball now feels like a soulless product vs an actual story.

Goku and Vegeta were good untill Super. Its obvious then that they stopped caring about their character arcs and they became cartoon two dimensional mockeries of their original characters.
