When the #MeToo fiasco occurred, it was viewed as something that is collectively the fault of ALL men and we were all lectured to about the importance of respecting women's "consent". It's a well known fact that it's a small number of serial offenders that account for most rapes. Yet, every man is treated as a rapist including those of us who've never even touched a female. Further, men are blamed for "toxic masculinity" every time a mass shooting happens in spite of the obvious fact that these are a tiny number of mentally ill men involved in them. The message is that there are thing inherently wrong with men that can be called out as such.
As for females? Pfft, it doesn't matter if the vast majority of women are engaging in some kind of harmful behavior-it CANNOT be said. It will forever be that elephant in the room. At the very best you can call out women individually for doing something particularly heinous. But pointing out that women are inherently predisposed to certain qualities or behavior or that they need to, as a whole, change that behavior is entirely out of the question. This is one of the biggest places where IncelTears types go wrong in addressing our problems-they fail to recognize obvious patterns among the female species.
