Blackpill Humanity is still evil even if they preserve beauty, and in fact, are probably worse for doing so.

It's not about the beauty you preserve, it's about the darkness you try to bring to light.
Anyone can value what's beautiful. It's only those you give compassion to/ willpower to spread the light that really matters.
Not just to cast aside the darkness, but bring high into the light.
Anyone can go on their own passion pursuit.
It's being compassionate to all things beyond what their personal interests are that bring goodness.
Saying you are a good perosn just for preserving beauty where it's already beautiful isn't willpower, isn't virtue. It's merely favoritism. Primal selection.

Can't we preserve beauty and deal with darkness? What point is an endless crusade without some good to fight for?

Yes. But what I'm saying is that there are those who solely just preserve hotspots of goodness (superficial people)/ and only interact with them. Without caring about people who have vast negatives to them also. Those people are not good people. They are selfish hoarders. Who give no compassion to those who need the light, but just keep it to themselves.

Always a thoughtful blackpill from you

Humanity will always be evil until we go extinct.
