Unfortunately, my shekels is on Israel if any conflict breaks out. Modern anti air technology (not that Syrian forces have many modern technology) is outpaced by aviation technology, especially stealth jets.
Israel can't be defeated by a conventional war, and that was back in the 60s when technologies were relatively matched (Soviet jets, for example, became vastly inferior after 1970s with the fight now being on digital technology front).
I am not supporting Israel; but one has to know the cards one is dealt with, and not play *their* game.

There are millions of different factions of Syrian rebel groups. Even if HTS doesnt attack israel another rebel group might. Thats the good thing about Assad being gone, now multiple jihadists groups can attack the Golan Heights now that Rabbi Bashar is no longer protecting it. Maybe Daesh will make a comeback and invade Israel.
The thing about these regions is that they're hard to administrate. One friendly "al tawhid soldiers group" (fictional name) may turn to stab you in the back. That's an advantage Syria have.
