Well, of course, we've been bombarded with how advanced artificial intelligence has become, and it has come a long way. It's not as if AI is something new people just didn't have it on their radar until now. How much do you think AI will change the world, and will it have a negative impact on the job market since it can replace jobs? Governments have also been toying with the idea of implementing UBI (Universal Basic Income), but these ideas don't align with the interests of billionaires, lol. There are also many movies set in the future where the world is intertwined with robots and other technologies, like Minority Report. I'm convinced these films serve as predictive programming to normalize what’s planned for the future, making it less shocking when it happens.:feelswhere:
Anyway, I've also heard that according to the Georgia Guidestones, the elite plan to reduce the global population to 500 million by 2050 in order to bring nature into harmony.
They were funded by an anonymous billionaire.

AI will ruin evetything
That could certainly be the case, and it's not being ruled out. It's the rich who tell us how positive AI will be. Incels, for example, might benefit from things like sex robots, but I've also heard that something like ASI (Artificial Superintelligence) or similar technologies won't come to fruition anytime soon, or still have a long way to go. It's mostly being marketed to attract investors.

Most jobs had already been rendered useless even before the AI we have now(I'm talking when AI was still in diapers), but the government still kept the jobs for people to keep them busy. They probably do something like that, an artificial way to keep people busy, after all there still are a lot of 3rd worlder who are cheaper than robots :feelsokman:

I've always worried that as long as I don't know much about this area and can't apply it to my advantage, things might not look so good for me. I guess it's about time I change that or it’s completely over :feelsree::feelsbadman:

I am just a humble CS student, so my input may not be worth all that much, however from my perspective AI will not really change much. Sure AI can do a lot of things but because of how human language is structured AI will not be able to do any complex work. Really we humans think that there is a difference between context and meaning, but objectively speaking there is none. LLM's are not able to understand the subtleties that go on in human language therefore there's really no reason to worry about it yet.

Obviously it'll take the useless jobs of people that like write slop (product descriptions, Friver coders etc.) but other than that you can't really use it efficiently unless you know what you are doing. Modern day AI is just really a quicker way of accessing Stack Overflow or Github to a certain extent. It helps people who know their shit but it is a huge bubble, that'll burst soon.

I am personally not to worried about AI taking my future job, offshoring jobs is much more worrisome. A currycel can basically do 90% of what an American or European developer can for a fourth or even less of a western salary. And again AI can only do that much, just like Photoshop didn't kill the photo industry and how Kindle didn't ruin the press AI won't take away your job. Third or second worlders will. Mind you I hold no ill will towards the people that'll take my future coding job, however AI currently can't do shit and that is because we have reached a theoretical limit. You just need absurd processing power in order to get AI to offer more than what you want to hear and for it to actually understand what it is doing.

I thank you for the effort and time you put into this comment:feelsokman::feelsaww:

I can't really say for sure what will happen in the future, because it's up to those who are in charge. I was trying to say that this has been happening long before AI, industries are fully automated and those are the ones who keep our economy. At any case, if you can't get a job or don't give you any money to survive, the only option is to revolt, and I doubt they will let that happen :feelsokman:
