Because they need to pay national insurance and other tax for every employee and you need to be inside the country to do that or you get a different tax code and it gets complicated very fast which nobody wants to deal with.

I saw various videos of people pricing food, 5KG of rice is 300php which is like 5 dollars. If I really want to go starvationmaxx road I can then get enough food for like 2-3$ USD a day just eating 1kg rice + some bread, 1500-1600 calories + water easy.
