Think about it this way: you say that the quality of the forum went downhill in late 2019 - but you can control the quality of the posts you read by filtering out at least the most egregious offenders. This will sound narcissistic, but I consider myself a high-value contributor; talking to me is a privilege, not a right, and if someone wants to spam my posts with retarded content, that person thereby forfeits the privilege of engaging with me. As far as I'm concerned, I only want to read posts that had a minimum of effort poured into them, and anyone who either argues in bad faith, or who makes drooling 'tardo statements non-ironically, or who follows me around like a puppy trying to provoke me into a reaction, will be silenced on the spot, permanently.
