Almost 200 times over the years, mostly at campus, when I fell for the PUA scam. I didn't get any dramatic or rude rejections though, just vibes that they didn't want to talk to me. Or a few times that the girls talked to me for a while and I thought for sure they liked me and then the next day they'd just avoid eye contact like they never seen me before.

Most of my cold approaches were done in the mid to late 2000s, the culture was a lot different then.
Back then as long as you followed these three simple rules:
1. Don't try to touch her
2. Don't say or allude to anything sexual
3. Know when to walk away
then you wouldn't get in trouble. At least not legal or very severe social trouble. Back then the biggest thing you needed to worry about was the girl having a boyfriend and him seeing you trying to talk to her and trying to fight you. I did get kicked out of a mall for cold approaching once though.
But in today's sociopolitical climate...I can see why zoomers don't approach. You're treading on very thin ice doing so in 2025.

Most rejections were pretty uneventful. They'd be very standoffish and give one word answers. Some would talk to me but then give me a fake number. A few of them insulted me. When I did approaches at clubs I did get "Ewww" a good number of times.
