I am a diagnosed schizophrenic.
I’ve been through several mental health programs and currently talk to a therapist and psychiatrist.
My schizophrenia was first diagnosed about 19 years ago.

The thing I hate the most about any mental illness, is not really the symptoms.
It’s that other people just dismiss whatever we say.
We could say that the sky is blue and they would still not believe us.
I get so tired of everyone just calling me crazy when I am saying things that are obviously true.
But they never try to verify my story.

I'm not here to necessarily tell people to stop taking their pills but just know that your body will become more sensitive to dopamine when you take these pills regularly. Since the antipsychotics are dopamine receptor antagonists they block dopamine from entering the receptor and since your brain wants to return to homeostasis it will in return make the receptors more sensitive. This creates a loop where you will need to up your dose eventually or you'll be kicked back into delusions or possibly psychosis.

There are other ways to reduce dopamine, vitamin B3 being one of them. Just need to get used to the flush and also take TMG in 1:1 ratio to protect your liver from the niacin since it increases liver enzymes in high doses.

Developed psychosis a few months into starting med school when I was 19. Thought that my "friends" were after me and trying to kill me. Also heard voices and hallucinated getting text messages that weren't there. Drs called it psychosis not otherwise specified but I know the DSM would have classified me as a schizocel.
