h-games are a waste of time, no point in waiting so long in an unfun game for what you can get in a second just searching online for it.
For English speaking forums, I use ulmf more often (mostly for old posts that include mega links). I use dlsite for hgame reviews and recommendations because I started Japanesemaxxing since middle school. One thing I really like about Japanese/Chinese hgame communities is that they don't censor as much as western ones. For example, searching RJ255568 on google doesn't give you any English results except for maybe a few archived posts from 4chan.
