Serious How many of you got into rock/metal music during your teen years as a form of escapism?

I used to listen to a lot of Metallica, Pantera, Dragonforce etc, but i dropped rock music after finishing highschool. After that i got into doujin music.

Ah yes pantera is good, I only like one dragon force song I forgot the name but everyone knows it if they hear it . Anime and video game ost music is underrated imo.

I sure did, a lot of Tool, Deftones, Marilyn Manson, Mastodon, Metallica, MachineHead, Hatebreed and a ton of others. I still listen to it all plus a bunch of newer bands. Music is the best cope.

I like mostly death metal, thrash metal, black metal, gutter punk and hardcore. I'm really into thrash, bands like Exodus, Stormtroopers of Death, Testament, Anthrax, Slayer, Sacred Reich, Megadeth, etc....
