I believe if I remember correctly that designers use the term
knee height, for what you mean, not popliteal height (under the knee down including the ankle and foot), and
not tibias length (the bone alone, it is invisible isn’t it) to ensure that there is enough clearance under the table and you don’t bump your knees.
I am not sure but maybe your question is a tiny bit
multi-interpretable. People will understand what you mean though, I am sure they will specify what they measure and not just give a number.
If you mean the
bone only, under the knee (excluding the foot and ankle), or another measure… doesn’t matter. it would be fun to see from everyone’s answers what percentages of total height they have. Whatever you mean, it’s a fascinating topic.
