So i was reading my newsfeed of random survival stuff and found a article about,

Preserving Your Mental Health in Isolation.

(THERE is the usual herd animals humanity shit early in the article. That pisses me off! =#4!)

And i was like, so THAT is why i was ok with my MANY DECADES OF extreme physical isolation. (And feel horrible NOW even though my life is cozier and nicer...)

I lived in the deep woods and my nearest "neighbors" were anywhere from 2 to 10 miles away. Most of my best places where around 10 miles away from anyone. For many decades!

So anyway, i will go through this list of 10 things the article suggest and say my way of it then will link the article below.

1 Stay busy...
Since i was living in the woods everything was a chore. Thirsty? Go to the river. Hungry? Go to town. Poor? Do some day labor or get a (ft, but mostly pt) job! So yeah. I kept busy.

2 routine...
While it wasn't like a modern thing, i did have a routine. Go get water for coffee. Make a fire to boil it... Do stuff according to when it's open. Like library day.... Coffee in town day...

3 sleep
I slept really good and had good dreams. But sometimes i stayed up late listening to the radio. Mostly i slept early and got up early to deal with stuff in daylight. Because walking around a stealth ninja camp with a lot of light is a good way to get hassles.

4 "red flags"
Basically, avoid shituations that "make you feel bad." I guess today this would mean MOGGING. But for me it meant avoiding jerks and scumbags. Basically i couldn't trust anyone to KNOW WHERE i was camped. Or, to even know THAT i was a camper. At the time i did a lot of carpentery for rich fuckers. I hated the fact that i was leaning on trees to shit (in the snow) while building structures for the rich to have warmth in.... But i did it because money.

5 mindfulness....
Basically do one thing at a time... Sometimes my camps were near busy roads and i had a "certain way" of making and invisible trail to my camp. That required carrying my bike and walking carefully over certain camo items in the trail. Grass mud sticks etc... Often i lived on cliffs that required climbing to access... Got to really be in the moment to just get THERE safely.

6 stay active...
Yeah. All the above is active stuff.

7 vitamin d
As a OUT side dude i got a lot of sun... I felt great back then. (Even though i should have felt bad)

8 eat good...
While i did eat a lot of streaks and tata vegetables... I ate a lot of pasta and canned stuff.... But i sometimes took vitamins... Or ate at restaurant if i was working at one... As a dishwasher. No cook stress for me thanks. Also hard to stay clean with cooking grease splatters...

9 journaling... Diary...
I sometimes had a calendar that i wrote stuff on. Like went to town. Saw ..... In town. Library day. Laundry. Just stuff i did that day on my physical calendar.

10 read books.
Oh yeah. I readed a lot of the books. Library cards and all that.

So anyway. I hardly do much of that shit anymore since i have rent place to live. Not active. Lazy. Etc... No wonder i feel like shit.

Anyway heres the article...

mogs me if you can do all that

I had a really good routine before the pandemic, I was rarely alone with my thoughts, it helped me see life better, but now I'm in the pit again and I've lost all the good habits, even the damn sun stopped hitting my backyard, i'll have an important test soon i'm starting to concentrate i think i can soon get back to "normal"

I feel ya bro...

I need a routine to manage my final days and try to get stuff done but it seems futile. Heck. I would probably live longer if i had some goals. Trouble is, i see just how fucked and doomed things are....

ya can still eat good and read renting a place :feelsstudy::feelscomfy:

Kaczynski-maxxing in the woods, many miles from civilization, being (mostly) self-sufficient, living on neetbux and passive income, and never having to deal with another human being ever again is my idea of an ideal life.

I did that stuff because i had no other options.
what else did you do back then for entertainment?
you are older right? .
what did those subhuman guys do all day back in the 80-90s?

Good thing I grew up in the digital age so I can fry my brain with porn and electronics :feelshaha:
