If its a norman i cant, i try to make small falk but i dont know what to talk about other then video games. If its a fellowcel or soy I talk about video games and other nerdy type shit

I don't talk to them tbh but when i try i just can't say anything my mind goes blank
Do various litmus tests through vague politeness to determine if they can illicit interest within me. Ask them about their music taste, hobbies, observe their speech and etc.
