It's so strange because some houses round here like... their curtains are ALWAYS open!! Maybe they don't have curtains idk.

One house the fellow is sitting on his PC fairly often with the curtains WIDE open!! If I did that everyone would probably know all my passwords lol

Mine is very slightly open only to let a sliver of light through a tiny gap, but it's mostly closed.

Wow that's how I have mine right now lol

It brightens up the room quite a bit even though my light is on. That being said I tend to go for quite low light and warm white bulbs.

Yeah they're LED but just not "cool white" which has very little yellow tint. Possibly none, but I think that is "daylight".

Warm white has a yellow tint, which I like because it feels more similar to a candle or a fireplace.

Why is this?

I'll close my shutter/curtain in the day when someone is in my backyard or when i want to lay down on my bed because the sun gets into my eyes

But why do you prefer your window open at night?

I guess I can imagine that depending on what is outside your window it could be peaceful and pleasant to have it open at night ^_^
