doing things you enjoy, video games, hobbies, biking...movies,

most of the self hate i think comes from comparisons to other people and trying to live by standards set by people who want to sell you things......standards can be good for products, businesses, jobs but not so much on measuring self worth. Being alive should just be good enough in our society but i think through years of growing up in our society we feel we constantly ned to be doing something to feel worthy of breathing...

Like the Buddhist leader Dalai lama was interviewed and hasn't even heard of the conceptt of self hatred, it doesn't exist in his culture in the same way it does ours.....our culture with advertising and marketing makes people feel shitty about themselves if they aren't looking a certain way and then they offer products for sale to make you feel like you can fit in and feel better about yourself if you own this thing
