There’s one of those little nasty fuckers running around my room every day. I’ve removed all food to only the refrigerator and freezer and cleaned my house
cats are useless. OP needs to get some poisonGet a cat
I disagree. Ive had at least one cat since i was 6 and i havent seen a mouse since like ‘05. I can understand not wanting a pet, and in that case a trap or poison is bestcats are useless. OP needs to get some poison

I was going to bring up cat killings contributing to the black death in Europe, but after looking it up for a few minutes i have to say that its a rumor more than anything. So i did learn something today. However, cats were commonly used on ships, and were known as “Ship’s Cats, for the purpose of catching mice. Also interesting to note is that the source you provided only covers feral cats, and not domestic cats or cats bred for hunting rodents. Also, the scent of a cat can in some ways be more useful for warding off mice than actually hunting said mice. So it stands to reason that if op introduces a cat, the mouse might leave out of fear![]()
Cats Are Surprisingly Bad at Killing Rats
Over a 79-day period, feral felines killed just two rats, instead opting to hunt less challenging preywww.smithsonianmag.com
I just showed you the first thing that popped up on google. You can do your own research and determine for yourself whether or not cats are useless sacks of shit.I was going to bring up cat killings contributing to the black death in Europe, but after looking it up for a few minutes i have to say that its a rumor more than anything. Well i have to say your first reply got me interested in the subject. Im sure you dont care, but as far as feral vs domestic goes, i wonder if a cats hunting success has to do with their environment. A mouse in a confined space is probably easy for a cat to get versus a field mouse somewhere. Also it appears some breeds are better than others at it much like dog breeds can do different things. So perhaps feral cats are more like mutts and not as inclined to be mousers as a siamese cat for exampleI just showed you the first thing that popped up on google. Maybe they'd be better at hunting vermin if you don't feed themWell i have to say your first reply got me interested in the subject.
