The side pieces of my laptop came off before and I slammed them back into place. It worked for a while but it did have some problems. I suggest taking it somewhere so it can be fixed. I got so mad I ended up smashing it and had to buy a new one.

Unless they are broken you can just put them back in place no prob. In the case that they are broken you can probably just glue the broken parts

If they are broken look for spare parts on ebay. Some devices have weak spots and people start producing and selling parts that easily break. Just make sure you buy from a dealer with good reputation, I have been scammed for an apple iNorm screen once. But I ordered another, installed it and now it works again.
