I dont think many of the users here work in corporate but I guess some do and its important that they share their experiences .

We know that min wage or physical jobs are shitty in work and coworkers are assholes , but from what I heard in corporate you are more likely to be treated nicer. But with that nice treatment comes a price that you have pay , to act like a normie , to live like one. I dont think anybody would get along and want to do work with a depressed , ugly loner who doesn`t give a shit about the world.

what if youre 30 and your married betabuxxer coworker asks why do you not have a gf , are you gay or what. You can`t shut him up with that question cuz its gonna start to reveal your insecurities and inability to have one . Chances are that the normie would spread rumours about you in the office and you`d end up with a bad reputation. No more perks for you , no more promotions, come suck boss`s toes and then he might think about that.

Idk man , this two faced corporate shithole is scary as hell and it just makes me hopeless to earn a comfortable wage.

It hardly ever comes up as an issue. Every once in a blue moon somebody oblivious asks and I just tell them straight; no I'm not married, no I don't have kids. Real life isn't as full of filterless assholes as American TV so it's rarely been an issue for me.

And we are quite a cool, small company so there is a good sense that we're all on the same team. And I'm a senior engineer so nobody wants to flame me when they might need my help next week, or I might be Checking their work next week.

I worked in a white collar 9 to 5 office job and was bullied by my male boss for about 2 years. That's a shitty situation, when the bully is your boss but you otherwise like the job and want to keep it.
