How can I grow the balls to immigrate when I'm extremely attached to my parents and cat?

There's many reasons for me to immigrate. My country is very very poor, I have no friends here anyway, there's so many people that I'm afraid of seeing when walking down the street here, it's literally horrifying and giving me constant anxiety.

But, here's the thing. In the past I've brought my parents a lot of pain. Since then we made amends and now we're closer than we've ever been. I love my mom and dad deeply. I also have a cat now that I love so, so much. I really do love them. My dad is also old and both my parents' health isn't the greatest.

Idk, I really want to leave. But given that I love my parents and cat so much it's hard. I actually have no plans of leaving because of this, but the desire to do it is very big. Immigrating would also be very stressful and difficult of course.

Have any of you immigrated and been through this?

Haven't immigrated (though I've lived in a few different countries), but if your parents love you they'll be happy to see you out conquering the world.

Remember then pain I talked about? I was an alcoholic for ~2 years. That started when I was studying abroad. All they wanted in life was to see me happy and living abroad. I fucked that up, ended up hurting them in unbelievable ways, wasting all their savings living abroad only to drop out and study back in my country.

Which country are you from and which country do you want to move to?

He's mentioned it before but doesn't want to be doxxed bro.

Hello FBI.

Sorry but I don't want to reveal my country yet again, it was stupid that I did so in the first place. If I were to move I'd move somewhere in the EU since it's the closest developed place. Probably the UK if they don't leave the EU, Ireland if they do.

Ireland's not worth moving to. I assume you'll go into something with computers, in which case you'll probably just want to move to America honestly. It's not the worst choice as their economy is still decent compared to other European countries, but it's ehh. Why were you thinking Ireland?

Thehe UK is shit; don't even bother.

I've got double citizenship and one is of an EU country, so moving to the EU would be easy. Furthermore, the UK and Ireland are both English-speaking countries, so that means I wouldn't have to learn a new language, which at this age would be quite difficult.

The U.S has very tough immigration laws so that's no bueno.

Immigrating sucks tbh

Especially when you’re doing it alone

Both the UK and Ireland have advantages and disadvantages, but, if you want to move to the UK, you'll need to do it quickly; Brexit is still a thing.

Antarctica is in desperate need of workers

Instead of milking a different country, what about trying to make your country developed?
