Is that a uni hall or a fucking crack den? How can a functioning member of society be comfortable living surrounded with so much filth? Are these people so lazy that they prefer having a stinking flat with maggots rather than taking the trash out when it's full? I've lived with students and the flat wasn't super clean but at least it didn't stink and wasn't infested, people knew how to keep minimum cleaning standards and the kitchen didn't look like fucking Petri dish. Also that shit is not cheap it says that it can cost 5000 pounds a year which is absolutely crazy for shared accomodation in those awful conditions

When I was on a school trip for a week, me and my friends lived in a small hut for a week. After 1 day it looked like a crackhouse, even though we were the only ones that didn't drink or smoke. We just kept the trash and food lying around, and the floor became wet and we didn't clean it. It just stayed wet for a week.

If it's for one week I can understand it a bit but keep in mind that student accomodation is where you live for the entire academic year or if you're an international student even during the holidays. Living in such filthy conditions it's not only disgusting it's also a health hazard, so much trash is going to attract pests like cockroaches or rats and stagnant water is perfect for mosquitoes
