not sure about dub english voices though

if I were going to introduce the VN to some GF who never played it and didn't have pateince/appreciation for japanese language then I guess I could rely on a dub

in all fairness my very first anime from the 90s (Little Nemo / Thundercats / Last Unicorn / Sailor Moon / Dragonball / Escaflowne / Vampire Hunter D) were all with English voices

hard to remember which anime I first saw w/ raw audio, I think possibly Ranma and Vampire Miyu TV briefly before the Naruto series, hard to remember.

Fuck... did I see the 80s Miyu OVAs? I think so but I didn't realize they were so old... might need to check my archives
