Theory [HIGH IQ] My solution to COVID-19 in the US

so America has completely failed to control the pandemic. like no other country has fucked up harder. so here's my idea. telling people to "stay home" to "save lives" failed because people are vapid as fuck and do not give a shit. also people don't want to deal with minor inconveniences like masks and disinfectants just to "flatten the curve" with no physical reward. so I came up with this genius idea to stop corona virus

all 50 states compete to see who can get the lowest % of infected people. and the state that wins gets the Grand Prize: free Popeye's for everybody for a week. normies would actually start shaming everyone who is going to parties and shit, instead of just virtue signalling about it, because they don't want to miss out on that free chicken. Americans are unironically more afraid of losing out on free Popeye's than dying from COVID and would take the shit very seriously. I unironically think the amount of people following social distancing requirements would increase tenfold if we implemented this
