Most forms of discrimination are learned. For example, if for your whole life you heard people say negative things about Mexicans (or if for whole life you saw mexicans performing poorly on tests and committing crimes), you would most likely learn to have opinions on people.

For Lookism, this is not the case. No matter what, having this against ugly people bias was critical for our ancestor's survival (ex. outcasting an incel, bullying the incel to accrue social status, not reproducing with the incel or bothering to give him any resources which he wouldn't be able to return to you in some form or the other with interest). Thus every single average looking person has this innate bias, and it rears its ugly head 100x stronger than any other form of racism. Only the most ascended monks have ascended their human instincts, and even they would struggle to be able to look past this. Everyone is programmed in a deep way by evolution to treat us so poorly.

Any innate brain function that evolved to facilitate survival and offspring dictates behaviour in a very strong way that is almost impossible to overrule. For the average person, their desire to oppress ugly people affects them like It is like a hunger - for back in primitive times it was almost as necessary to pass down your genes.
