I have no evidence to back this up and it's strictly going off my own life experience, but as someone who has been clinically tested to have "superior intelligence" it hasn't helped me much at all. I do think intelligence is useful, but probably only to a certain point; I don't think having an iq of 150 is going to make you infinitely more successful than someone with an iq of 120; particularly if we're talking about career prospects. The egghead working at NASA probably only needs an iq threshold of 135 or something to work his job anyway, so any additional output he is capable of will probably just go towards the lower rungs off loading all their work on him, and regardless he'll probably make less than the charismatic well spoken Chad lawyer.

I think my issues are mostly due to what psychologists refer to in the 5-factor model as extremely low conscientiousness and agreeableness(this is basically the profile of a rabid criminal minus the high iq). If I were trying to min max for success I would have an iq of 120, attractive height/looks, very high consciousnesses, average agreeableness. I'm not going to dig them up, but I've heard in fact some studies have found conscientiousness to correlate with higher income to a greater degree than iq.

There are very few jobs that require high IQ, most jobs are boring and routine bullshit. The best paying jobs that deal with IQ are normally hard as fuck (ie. a doctor, surgeon, etc.) with a ton of stress and long working hours.
