A generation of high-flying women cannot find eligible men that they would consider marrying, and this is down to their lack of degrees and high incomes, a US academic study claims.
For women marriage often involves ‘marrying up’ but as personal fortunes have increased, expectations have failed to adjust.

Women who hold these kinds of standards (most of them) are actually more distant to the opposite gender than we are. We hold the door open IRL, they have it shut to 90% of men most of their lives. Not even acknowledging their existence. After kindergarten they just go on strike and refuse to engage with the vast majority of men unless they are getting paid or there's some way for them to capitalize off the social interaction or if the guy is family. Their ideas of men come mostly from ads and hyper-attractive or charismatic men on television and movies most of their lives. Their heads are swimming with ideas of men from whatever netflix show they watched last, if you asked them to name an example of an average guy they'd have difficulty thinking of someone IRL outside their family that approaches average.
