Except it isn't habit. I am pretty sure people who mouth breathed in their childhood had a broken nose or nasal polyps or deviated septum.(which in my case it was and ruined my jaw along with other featurea like cheekbones, teeth etc.) They were basically unable to breathe thru the nose. If you don't have problem with your nose, nose breathing is the norm.
