There are some countries which are still so conservative that women are expected to be virgins until marriage, and if they aren't, many men will reject them.
This results in women paying money to have their hymens reconstructed so men think they are taking her virginity on that night of marriage.
This is 10 years old, but here's Georgia (the country, not the state):
And here's Armenia from a couple of years ago:
Question:
1. If you have sex with a woman who has had hymen reconstructed surgery, is that ascension with you taking her virginity?
2. If you didn't know it, and you never found out, would you have ascended?
Things to consider: you would still have used goods, but you would have literally no way of knowing; and chances are, she's likely to be very traditional if she's willing to pay money to physically seem like a virgin again.

Armenia: the red apple
In Armenia, the red apple, besides being a fruit, is also a symbol. It symbolizes the Armenian girl's virginity. In traditional Armenia an opinion is accepted that the girl has no right to have sexual relations with anybody before the marriage
