I never really encountered that problem with getting hired. Because I go through agencies who make $1-$2 on every hour I work for about 500 hours before the company decides to hire. And warehouse and construction jobs hire anybody even if you have a criminal record.
While I suck socially, I do work hard and have little to no problem with jobs people don't like to do. The boring tedious low social interaction jobs. No prob I gladly do them.

For the jobs I went for, I think having a social life would be a detrimental as it’s fielding phone calls and dealing with complaints.
Perhaps they think men who have partners would have lower chance of approaching, or should I say "harassing " lol foids at the workplace
