That's the sad truth, and honestly part of it so there's too many fucking people. Movements can't do shit if they're just comprised out of thousands, they have to be comprised out of millions or even billions, and the fact that it takes so much longer for dissident ideas to just travel across the wide mass of human bodies, let alone influence said humans into acting on those ideas, makes it so much easier for apathy and inertia to just win over instead. You can't influence the world on a large scale because there's too much to influence, and on the small scale of yourself, you are limited by your own abilities. You can't build more discipline if you don't already have enough discipline to be able to train yourself to be more disciplined. You can't find motivation if you don't have the motivation to find more. You have the key to your own cell and yet you are the one holding yourself back, and you can't do anything about it. It must be funny to someone, but not to you, because you're the punchline and not the listener. It's all so fucked
