Discussion Have you guys ever experienced almost being hit by a car? Were you not paying attention or was it the other guy's fault?

I almost got hit by a car today. Was crossing the street, not a crosswalk, in order to save some time bc I didn't want go through the crosswalk ( I know I was being lazy), but some sandy white honda zoomed right behind me and the sunlight was kind of in my eyes. I guess it was going faster than I thougtht. After crossing the street, I looked who was in the car, of course it was clown car packed full of hispanics. OF COURSE. But anyways, trying to process the trauma, but tomorrow I probably forget about it and go right back to being depressed as an incel. This shit scared me a little ngl.

Apparently when I was little an SUV almost hit me because my stupid ass started walking in the street a little bit but my mom yanked me out the way just in time

No but i almost got ran over by a tram once. I didn't know trams existed in Gothenburg so i just ran out in the road and almost got hit. The tram chauffeur braked luckily. This was in 2009.

other guy's fault, was driving dad's car and got hit. It was covered by insurance but it took 1 whole week to fix

No, I don't even think it hurt that much. I was in a sort of shocked expression and couldn't really feel anything

I bike to places. And in America that means being on survival mode constantly because you 100% know dipshits (mainly foid drivers and pickup trucks) will run you over if you're not careful to dodge around them (even on the side walk). Yes, I was hit once. I was 16, moving fast on a bike. And a piece of fucking shit 4x4 ford truck driver pulled out into the sidewalk and we collided. He thought since I was on a bike I wasn't a pedestrian. Asshole.

When I used to work at Walmart I had this drunk retard drive on the sidewalk next to the automatic doors extremely close enough to activate the open sensor and almost got hit leaving work.

One time on the way to our cabin going 60 miles per hour on the highway with my dad driving, an idiot passed over a blind hill. It’s a 2 lane, 2 way road, so had there been any oncoming traffic, he would have got us all killed. Same thing happened coming back from the cabin with my mother when a different idiot passed the same way
