i had a 'best friend' in primary school (he was the only person i spoke to, though he spoke to a lot of other people) though he eventually cucked me for someone else. then the same thing happened again when i was 11 with someone else and from thereon i had nobody apart from some impermanent internet acquaintances .

Most of my 'friends' end up betraying me at some point. I have some acquaintances now that I'm in university but I don't think we're close enough to be considered friends. It's difficult to maintain connections with people in real life with our busy schedules and heavy course loads. I'd assume that chads are able to do this because they're automatically accepted wherever they go for superficial reasons so there is nothing to 'maintain'.
