I did it in Shenmue when it was current. I followed the hamburger stand owner. He left his apartment in the morning, opened up his stand, then that evening he closed it and went to the pub. lol

It was pretty cool!

Yes, multiple times! It's always good fun to see what they do. But this sadly only applies to RPG's and stuff. Not really FPS, TPS, or any others

Yes I follow the foid whores before I mercilessly beat them to a pulp with brass knuckles (in gta v)

Yes, I followed caravans in Fallout 3. Imagine my disappointment when I learned they didn't actually visit all these stopping points marked on the map. I was old enough and knew how games generally worked and tried to be realistic, yet this was a major blow to my immersion. I would never view games the same way again.

Hm, caravans?

I've completed Fallout 3 but maybe I'm forgetting or I missed that bit!

in gta vcs they just seem to wander randomly, or just disappear, some of their pathways will break and walk towards an huge empty alleyway

I used to enjoy doing this in Oblivion. Its radiant AI is underrated. The NPCs schedules can be quite complex and interesting, especially for a 2006 game.

All the time, specially in red dead 2 when im bored... fuck i miss that game may dowload and play it all again

Dragon Quest where NPCs in town regularly block you.

Running towards NPCs holding a machete in GTA is kekfuel.
Not killing them.
Just running after them in the streets.

In San Andreas I used the Elvis mod and would follow NPCS.

All the time.
It’s a good thing to do in Hitman games.

Usually the NPC characters don’t do much.
But, sometimes an NPC is key to completing the mission.

Often you can follow an NPC to a secluded place, kill them, and then take their clothes.
This will allow you to pretend to be a guard, cook, etc. and gain access to areas you couldn’t get into before.

First person mode on GTA, usually foids before I fuck up their shit from behind with melee weapons. Very satisfying actually. Usually the combat knife or hammer. Just feels right.

Everytime I did this some fucking death claw or other enemies would show up and they would straight away get killed and I just took all their shit lmao. Good times.
