Two years ago, my neighborhood lost access to running water in our homes for several days. It was a stressful experience. Many residents had to go to the local manual water pump to collect clean water. But in a way, I felt something good. Like my problem, not having running water, was their problem too. This was when I thought I had such an experience "being a part of something bigger". Or is this not an example of that expression?
