Basically I'm in a line of work and trying to do my own business barely scraping by right now though. Now a family member wants to get into the same line of business and they got starting capital, they are willing to spend a big amount like $100k to get things going. Basically what I can do it reccomend them a product that is maybe like $20k and I will tell them it costs $100k and I will make like an 80% comission and get that juicy $80k. They will prob be paying half up front or something like that tho so let's say they pay $40k or something up front I can get like a $30k or so commission. If they realize the product they got is not worth as much as they thought they might stop payments but at that point I don't give a fuck cause I already got that money.

I hate my family so I don't mind doing this and it would also help me massively and I could ascend. The way I see it, it's just business but do you guys think it can backfire in any way? After I get the money I will completely cut off this family member, my entire family and basically everyone they and I know and just start new. Will also be moving to a new place and put my old life and everyone behind me cause I don't give a fuck about them. How is my plan and should I go threw with it?

Bro are you low IQ or do you just not understand business? Making a commission on helping someone buy a product/service is not illegal there is literally entire sectors built on this like consulting. Aren't you supposed to be upfront about about how much you take in commission? I don't know what this specific business is, but usually with investments you have to be upfront about how much everything costs. Legally, I mean.

Plus you can't get him to sign a contract saying he'll pay you since it's illegal. And once he takes all the money and runs with it, you have absolutely no recourse. You can't tell the family member because you participated in the scam. And you can't go to the cops.

I don't have a fiduciary duty to do that and that it isn't legally required to show the commission you make at least not in my industry, I'm pretty sure that is only a requirement in specific industries and other times only if you have a fiduciary duty to do so.
