Do you type with a Spanish keyboard or did you just copypaste that from another site?
I pull up the Spanish keyboard on my phone.
On my PC, I can use alt codes but I actually have my keyboard set upped for Esperanto.
My next new year is 2029 so I have to wait a bit, but still happy new year

I'm probably biased because I'm Spanish but the Spanish keyboard layout is really amazing tbh. You can type different types of accents so it's also useful to type in French and of course you have all the characters of the English language. Not sure if it would be comfortable for writing in languages like German or Swedish which have their own special characters tho. The English keyboard feels limited if you're typing in anything else than English which for ppl in the Anglosphere is okay but if you also type in another language then it's annoying.
The only diacritics Spanish has apart from ñ are the accutes on vowels and ü.
Speaking of Spanish orthography, what do you think of this alternative orthography for Andalusian Spanish?

It looks ridiculous but knowing Spanish politics I bet a lot of important people would benefit if this grammar ever becomes official. More public money down the sink (in politicians pockets) and more stupid language requirements for becoming a public servant. Dialects should not have their own grammar, ppl in South America use the normal Spanish grammar even if they have their own words and expressions. But in Spain every corner thinks they're the best and better than the neighbour and they deserve better. I mean yeah, I know in Spain you already have a lot of dialects like Asturian and Extremaduran which are close to Castilian. At least Catalan (and Valencian) and Basque are different enough to be their own language and Galician is basically a dialect of Portuguese.
Yeah that's right, there's some ignorant ppl that call Catalan a dialect but it really is a different language. Like 80% it's similar to Spanish but it's still a language with its own grammar and different pronunciation. Galician is super easy I've never been there but if I listen to the news I understand everything, it's even more similar to Spanish than Catalan. Basque is a something completely different btw and apparently it's really hard to learn so there's few ppl that live in Basque Country and use it in their daily life.
Yeah, Basque isn't a Romance language but a language isolate. The language was there before Roman times.
When I studied Catalan, I've noticed that it had many words more similar to French and Italian than Spanish which makes sense since before Spanish unification, the Crown of Aragon had strong maritime trade relations with the Italian peninsula and the rest of the Mediterranean during the Middle Ages and even controlled Naples, Sicily and the west Mediterranean islands during the Middle Ages and there are still small pockets of Catalan communities in Sardinia.
Catalan grammar, I find is closer to French since it's a sister language to Occitan or the langues d'oc. My theory is that Catalan people are descendants of Frankish soldiers sent to that region by Charlemagne to defend the French border from Muslims. It's definitely between Spanish and French with Italian influences in there.
Galician is basically Portuguese with Spanish phonemics. I also speak Spanish and yeah, Galician doesn't sound as "nasal" as Portuguese.
