Never watched it but based on the synopsis the whole thing sounds unrealistic and full of holes. They seriously say that there is a caste of women relegated to clearing nuclear waste, as if a patriarchal society that treats women as a valuable resource necessary for its survival would do that. Even outside of that, there's the fact that in such a society men would be extremely chauvinistic and would not relegate such a dangerous and important task to ones they consider incompetent.
Not to mention, why would they bother making all these stupid rules in an apocalypse? Do you seriously think a group of men, who decided to enslave all women in society, would choose to separate them into a dozen different social groups, each complete with their own color coordinated outfits and cringy preteen fanfiction style names? It's no surprise that this book was written by a foid, only a foid could come up with shit this retarded.
To answer your question, no, the world in this novel sounds extremely cucked, aside from the people in power everyone else gets only scraps, or nothing at all, which is almost as bad as what we have today.
