How legit are these "working routines" off of popular apps on play store.
Not one of these use any "equipment" or any sorts.. is this legit or I'd be wasting my time.

This is more in the category of bodyweight exercises or "calisthenics". You can either opt to go that route, or go to a professional gym and train with weights. Depends on your goals. I've recently started calisthenics and have been enjoying that way more than the weightlifting I did back in HS.
Why I personally prefer calisthenics over weightlifting:
Free
Learn functional bodyweight exercises like:
pushups,
dips,
pullups/chinups/muscle ups,
handstand,
L-sit/V-sit,
advanced planche variations,
etc.
Cons:
Cannot build as much muscle as you potentially could with weightlifting, however it is way more pragmatic
You do need to be relatively lean for calisthenics (which is 99% diet) or else the exercises will be significantly harder
If you opt for weightlifting in a gym, focus on compound movement exercises like bench press, millitary press, rows, deadlifts.
