NEW YORK — Video released shows the moment a young tenant was shot dead in the lobby of his housing development complex in Brooklyn.
The shooting took place at around 1am Sunday in the lobby of NYCHA’s Albany Houses in Crown Heights.
Footage shows the shooter, wearing a red baseball cap, open fire on two men standing by the mailboxes.
One of the men falls to the ground as the other runs out of camera view, the video shows.
The victim, identified as 22-year-old Roshad Twells, was struck in the chest and found by first responders unconscious outside of the building, according to the police.
He was taken to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
Police have released video of the incident in hopes of identifying and tracking down the suspect who remains at large.
