Grooming vs seducing

Sometimes I read about men grooming girls they are interested, ultimately manipulating them into sexual situations. But how is that different from simple seduction?

Both grooming and seducing are predatory and dishonest. It seems society has hijacked a term that used to be reserved for child molesters and applied it to any courtship where the balance of power is in the man's favor. Am I wrong?

probably a minor difference just like how assault and battery is different. When ever I think of seduction I think of something right then and there, when I think grooming-it would be over a time period. Typically children are groomed not seduced vice versa with adults most of the time.
