I think this is where women say they like confidence, and they hide behind their shades.
It's all just an allusion to metasuccess. Where they want something that correlates with confidence. Rather than the actual thing that they say they want, they want the things that metacorrelate with confidence. In reality they equate confidence with tyrannarchal value/ social dominance/ power, and just use confidence as a view-tuning euphemism. It is female prerogative to attune the views of society in euphemisms for their schemes to be complete.
Female manipulation/ female circles are so proudly shady that "confidence/ creepy" (codewords for pretty and ugly) are their cultural catchphrases so all girls can get on the game of manipulation.
I call it a eufemism.
