Before I start I want to clarify something that a lot of people pointed out, the instagram. I actually didn't want to ask for her number so I asked if she had instagram. I figured it'd be less awkward for me. She then said that she finds watsapp more comfrotable and just gave me both saying to text her in whichever.
So anyways,
Every year after we finish our spring spring semester, we hold an exhibition so that people can see the art student's work. Usually they take the painting they consider to be the best and use it to represent the exhibition. I mean the entire thing, posters, flyers, the college paper even the instagram page becomes filled with the painting, the location and the time. I've recently discovered this girl just... happens to be the artist they chose. They chose her work to represent the entire art program. that pissed me off because its a bit patronizing and i can't stang being patronized. But up until now every discussion we had had was alright. We disagreed on somethings but ended up coming up with a theme in practially no time. Since the idea of the project was a challenge we decided to go for a horror piece taking in that neither of us ever painted anything like that. Everything was fine until about monday. We stopped agreeing in everything. nothing we came up pleased us both. we just couldnt agree on a single thing. NOT ONE. we can't decide on the subject and worst of all we're disagreeing in colors. I'm a realism artist and she's a fantasy/magicsurrealism one and the differences are starting to show a lot more than before.
We're both jsut losing our shit right now.
To make maters worse she's friends with this guy that everyone is always around of. I would call him Chad if he wasn't so... strange. He's not manly. Actually I could say he's feminine. always wears light colored suits. If you ever played the legend of Zelda Skyward sword... Ghirahim is what he is. The reason I'm bringing this up is that we were talking in the cafeteria when he came up to us, said hi to her. very close i might add as if claming territory, the piece of trash, and eyed me up and down with the smuggest expression. I could pratically hear his eyes mocking me. She explained that we were in the project together and he finally smiled. "Cute" is all he said before standing up. He eyed me one more time whent good luck with... this. and just left. Like what the fuck.
Okay i'm done with my rant. Back to topic.
So after a two day of going back and forth we finally made this:
we talked to the professor a day or two later, he approved the design but insited we add some color on it. Fuck me right? She rolled her eyes and sighed. Fuck me again.
In the end she colored some of it in just to see how it looks and the professor approved of it., and since we heavily referenced it we decided to switch the angle a bit and so she drew this quickly. I mean plagarism strikes are a serious deal.
Since i'm honestly fed up with arguing I agreed. The only thing we both apparently didn't bump heads was with the shape of the canvas. We now decided finally that only the face and some areas of the hand will be colored while the rest will be painted completely in black and white. She also asked if I wanted to include gold sheet. Now i'm honestly jsut annoyed so I said we'll see.
And... that is how my week went. Hope yours is going better honestly. This project is becoming a huge drag. I don't even know where it is that whe're going to paint.
