If you can't physically fight back or tell anyone what's going on maybe try a more covert tactic. Find out where his classes are, where he goes etc. If you have sports or gym classes know when he goes there. Bring a knife to school and when you're sure he's gone put it in his backpack. When he discovers it he'll try and keep it hidden as he wouldn't want to be seen trying to hide or throw away a knife.
Next step. Pay some guy, any person will do, to say that he saw him showing off a knife. This could fail, he could simply throw away the knife but if he is caught, and has a history of violence at school he'll most likely be expelled. Problem solved.
