JFL, when I was in second grade I realized that by default it looked like I was deliberately opening my eyes as wide as possible. This was due to having big ass eyes as well as the stereotypical large slavic orbitals. I started squinting to counteract this and it actually helped a lot. After a while I started doing it automatically.

I used to do the reverse when I was little I naturally have squinty/more closed eyes and I used to open them really wide so they were more round. I'd take pictures like this --> all throughout middle school and early highschool. Thankfully I stopped around 10th grade though.

If it makes you feel better I have a similar story from when I was in highschool and I tried to make my voice deeper one day, eventually I asked my teacher a question and she laughed at me when another guy in class mocked the way I was talking. I only then realized I sounded fucking stupid, and for the rest of the day I didnt say a word.
