The book by Michel Houellebecq, surprisingly it's quite short but as compared to the movie they did leave a few things out although they are quite minor and don't really change the whole premise.
Let me tell you Raphaël gets a Brutal fucking blackpill.
Saying basically the exact same lines in the movie: "You'll never be in a young girl's erotic dream. You'll have to resign yourself to the inevitable; such things are not for you. It's already too late, in any case. The sexual failure you've known since your adolescence, the frustrations that has followed you since the age of thirteen, will leave their indelible mark"
"You will always be an orphan to those adolescent loves you never knew"
Fucking brutal man, just imagine hearing this from your friend you've known for years or anyone else you know IRL.
It is fucking ERfuel, but you know that going ER doesn't do anything and Tisserand only jacked off instead as they had sex, because he had no desire to.
