The nose is collapsed, exposing raw, infected tissue, with maggots feeding on the open wounds. Sunken, hollow cheeks reveal jagged, exposed bone as the flesh melts away, while the jaw is distorted and deformed, swollen and twisted in agony, with exposed nerves and tissue.
