Children born of genocidal rape: What do we know about their experiences and needs?
Interesting. Possibly hybristophilia showing up in a very creepy way? When boys find out how they were conceived, they imagine themselves in their fathers' places, doing it to their mothers and it disgusts them, whereas the girls imagine themselves in their mothers' places and some of them might low-key get turned on by that?
Also, another way gender could play a role here: Since boys would be much easier to compare to their fathers than girls, they would be much more desperate to distance themselves from their fathers in any way when they'd get abused by their mothers' families, while when the girls get abused:
Hogwood et al. (2017) noted different reactions between Rwandan boys and girls, with boys expressing anger, disgust, shame, and a desire to distance themselves from their fathers, while girls expressed mixed feelings about the relationship with their fathers. While girls wished to have their fathers in their lives, they also acknowledged the crimes they had committed.

The lack of belonging extended to the community level, where young people were marginalized while their mothers experienced social exclusion. Adolescent girls born of genocidal rape in Bosnia and Herzegovina described themselves as “shooting targets” in reference to being a passive target of aggressive action by others (Erjavec & Volčič, 2010a).
some young people survived unsuccessful clandestine abortion attempts and pre- and postnatal starvation intended to make the fetus or the infant suffer (Godard & Ukeye, 2012).
They would probably feel less overt guilt and more anger since they wouldn't internalize the guilt from "being just like their fathers", since they aren't guys, and thus would react to the abuse less with feeling bad and more with quietly hoping that their fathers' groups would be a bit more brutal with their mothers' ones.
